Sometimes the pressures of life burden us: money, work, school, family, friends, and health. We feel tired, lost, overwhelmed, and depressed. True peace can only come from God. Jesus wants to give us that peace. Compared to the complicated law as interpreted by the scribes and Pharisees, the commandments Jesus wants us to learn are an easy yoke.
Lord, help me to take up your yoke, so that I may find peace, even in seemingly troubled times.
