John and Jesus had different ways of preaching: John’s message was more repentance while Jesus’ message was more forgiveness. Some people rejected both John and Jesus; they were unwilling to accept the truth no matter how it was presented. If the people had been sincerely seeking God, they would have seen his truth in both Jesus and John.
Lord, help me to be open-minded to your truth in everything.
