When Jesus refers to this evil generation, he means the people who don’t accept him and his teachings. A person like this may temporarily free themselves from sin, but without Jesus they are spiritually empty and will not be able to resist the temptations of Satan to sin again. Only by filling our hearts and minds with Jesus will we be able to keep Satan out.
Lord, help me to fill my heart and mind with your teachings.
