We have been all these people. At times we have not understood the Word of God. Other times we have understood the Word of God, but we abandoned him to follow the crowd and avoid conflict. Or we made the pursuit of prestige, power, pleasure, and wealth our priority instead of following him. But sometimes, with the help of the Holy Spirit, we have understood and followed the Word of God. It was at those times we felt most at peace and were truly happy, in spite of all the challenges and turmoil around us.
Lord, help me to ask the Holy Spirit for help to hear, understand, and follow your Word.
