Jesus tells us that we are to be like salt and light. A little salt gives flavor to bland food. A little light can help us find our way in the darkness. We will experience perfect peace and happiness in heaven. But in this world, there will be darkness and evil. Therefore, Jesus says we must let our good deeds shine like a light, so that others may see them, have hope for the future, and give glory to God.
Lord, help me to do good needs, not for personal recognition, but to glorify you.
