Matthew 5:21-26, Teaching about Anger

Jesus expands on the commandment ‘you shall not kill’ to include angry thoughts and words.  At times we all get angry about something. Even Jesus got angry sometimes. But it is important that we not hold onto that anger because it will separate us from others and from God.  We must apologize for our anger, attempt to reconcile with others, and forgive them, even if they chose to remain angry with us.

Lord, help me to let go of my anger so that your love will flow through me.
