Adultery is when two people, of whom at least one is married to another, have sexual relations. It’s an injustice that undermines the institution of marriage. Jesus tells us that even lusting after another person is the same as committing adultery. Everyday we are faced with sexual temptation. Businesses use provocative images to capture our attention. Movies and music promote adultery as normal and good. Even our friends and family may say it’s ok because it makes us happy. But God’s commandments forbid adultery and lust.
Lord, help me to respect the marriage covenant you created and not lust after others.
