Almsgiving, also known as stewardship, is the giving of our time, talent, and treasure. It is an act of love and compassion, and often requires a sacrifice on our part. Jesus says we must give for the right reasons, not to receive praise and recognition from people, but to help those in need. We should make our donations anonymously and not brag about the things we do to help others.
Lord, help me to give freely, because everything I have was given to me by you.
