Jesus says our prayers shouldn’t be on display so people praise us for being holy. Instead, we should pray in private. But what is prayer? Prayer is how we communicate and build our relationship with God. In prayer we praise and thank God for everything, we ask God to help others, and we ask God to help us. Then, we quiet our mind and listen. God speaks to us in many ways including our thoughts and feelings. If we don’t listen, we won’t hear him.
Lord, help me to pray every day, so my relationship with you will grow.
