Jesus has taught us many things in his sermon on the mount. And now he gives us a choice. We can choose to listen to him and do the things he taught us. Or we can choose to follow others, and our own desires, doing the things we want. The first choice may result in hardship and hatred by others. The second choice may result in pleasure and acceptance by others. But the first choice leads to an eternal peace in heaven, while the second choice leads to eternal damnation in hell.
Lord help me to choose to listen to you and do the things you have taught me.
