The people were possessed by evil spirits. Jesus has authority over evil and cast out the demons. We all are possessed. Thankfully, most of us aren’t possessed with evil spirits, but other demons do live inside of us. Pride, greed, lust, anger, gluttony, envy, and sloth are some of those demons. Jesus wants to free us from these demons.
Lord, help me to turn to you so that you may cast out my demons.
