This gentile, a Roman soldier, has come to believe that Jesus is the true Lord. The centurion has faith in Jesus, greater than even the Jewish people who were chosen by God. Jesus tells us that the kingdom of heaven is not for people based on their birthright or identity. Heaven is for anyone who will put their faith in him.
Lord help me to have faith in you like this centurion.
