For 30 years, Jesus lived with his family and friends. He grew up playing with them and learned to be a carpenter from his father. Jesus then leaves town for a while and when he returns, he preaches to them about God. Instead of being open to him and his message, they reject him. We too have had family or friends who have had a spiritual conversion and want to share their faith with us. Do we rejoice for them and share in their excitement? Or do we ignore them and discourage them from talking about God?
Lord, help me to be open to others as they grow spiritually.
