John was the greatest of the prophets and his role required great courage. The ruler of Galilee was committing adultery and John publicly confronted him on this unlawful act. While we are not prophets like John, the Bible does tell us to confront others, privately, in the spirit of God’s love. We should pray for guidance on what to say, when to say it, and how to say it.
Lord, help me to have the wisdom and courage to lovingly share your commandments.
