Why did Jesus walk on the water? Perhaps to show his disciples that all things are possible, through faith in God. Peter too walked on the water while he was focused on Jesus. But when the storm distracted Peter, his faith diminished and he began to sink. We profess our faith in God, but we too are frequently distracted. Worldly desires, endless todo lists, and social media pull our focus, and our faith, away from God. Imagine what God would accomplish through us if we gave him as much time as we give our phones, TVs, and video games.
Lord, help me to spend more time with you so that my faith will grow.
