Jesus had previously given the disciples the ability to cast out demons and cure the sick which they exercised with great success. Yet, in this instance, they are not able to heal the boy, because they had little faith. What is faith and why do the disciples have so little of it now? Faith is complete trust in God. We express faith through our relationship with him and by living according to his will. It is likely the disciples were so busy doing the work of God that they didn’t take time to be with God.
Lord, help me to spend quality time with you so my faith may increase.
