The Pharisees test Jesus with a question about divorce. Jesus affirms that God joins a man and a woman in marriage and they should not be separated. Jesus goes on to say that those who are called to a life of celibacy instead of marriage should accept this. Today, there are over a million sisters, brothers, and priests who have renounced marriage for the sake of the kingdom.
Lord, help me to pray for those religious who have totally dedicated their life to you and your church.
