In this parable, the landowner created a vineyard for the people. When he asked for the yield, they rejected him. God created the universe and sent instructions through the prophets on how to live, but the people did not listen. Even today, many believe that we can choose for ourselves what is right and wrong, and that pleasure is the ultimate goal in life. We would not exist if not for God. Can we not give God what he asks?
Lord, help me to seek loving you, as my ultimate goal in life.
