Jesus confirms that when we die, our life isn’t over; we will live forever like the angels in heaven. We can’t fully comprehend what our life will be like after the resurrection. Apparently marriage and family, which is a big part of our life now, is not relevant then. Similarly, children can’t fully comprehend what it means to be an adult. Yet they play house and pretend to be grownups which helps prepare them for their future role. Maybe it’s time for adults to act like children, pretending to be angels who love, praise, and worship God.
Lord, help me to use my life now to prepare for my life after the resurrection.
