God loves his children and yearns to be with them. So he sent instructions on how they were to live through his prophets, and finally his own Son. But the people rejected God and chose to live according to their own desires. God isn’t going to force us to do anything. We are free to choose. If we choose not to listen, then we will live forever, abandoned and in complete emptiness. However, if we are willing and choose to follow God, he will gather us into his flock in heaven.
Lord, help me to be willing so I may join you at your second coming.
