Matthew 26:57-68, Jesus before the Sanhedrin

Jesus was verbally attacked and falsely accused. Yet he remained silent and calm, trusting in God. Only when asked about his identity did Jesus respond. God sees all injustice. Not every verbal attack requires a response. Sometimes it is better to remain silent or walk away. However, we should always stand firm in our faith and not give in to social pressure. We should never deny our identity as a Christian, even in the face of violence.

Lord, help me to remain faithful to you, especially when I’m mocked or attacked.
