The soldiers mocked and ridiculed Jesus. They hit him and spat on him. If they only knew who he really was, they would have given him praise and treated him with respect. We know Jesus is the Son of God, but do we show him our respect? Jesus said that whatever we do to another, we do to him. Do we make fun of others either to their face or behind their back?
Lord, help me to show respect for you and for others.
