Jesus spoke to us seven last times, as recorded in the four Gospels. He would push up on the nails in his feet, take in a breath of air, and speak to us. His last words were important. Here Jesus is not complaining to God; he is pointing us to Psalm 22. At that time, the Psalms weren’t numbered; they were identified by the first line. Psalm 22 predicted his crucifixion, but goes on to say we are to praise God for his great glory.
Lord, help me to praise you, especially when I experience suffering in my life.
