Matthew 27:11-14, Jesus Questioned by Pilate

When asked by Pilate, Jesus affirmed that he was the king of the Jews. However, Jesus remained silent in response to the many accusations of the Sanhedrin. Why did Jesus remain silent? He could have skillfully responded just as he had done many times before. Instead, Jesus followed the will of God. Jesus knew God’s will because of the many hours he spent in prayer.

Lord, help me to spend time with you in prayer, so I may know your will for me.
